Gee, I never thought I'd use the word 'ecstacy' to describe a gas station feeling again, but $27.18 to fill up my tank makes me feel like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally." Yes, yes, YESSSSS!!!

It was 1967. I was in seventh grade. They turned off all the house lights in the theatre for the last fifteen minutes of the movie. When the bad guy lunged from the dark for Audrey Hepburn, my friend, Susie, screamed and threw an entire box of Jujubees up in the air. I loved "Wait Until Dark." Still do.

Had a harsh reality check this morning when I wore my trusty (free) pedometer on the treadmill. After 43 minutes, I had logged under 6000 steps. What's up with that?

Thanks to a boisterous thunderstorm that jolted me out of bed after midnight last night - and kept me awake for the next two-and-a-half hours - I pushed the snooze button to the limit this morning, breaking my personal record.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. My first home pedicure in years and I didn't spill polish on the carpet or throw out my back while "assuming the position." And I saved a cool 50 bucks to apply to my monthly gasoline bill. (I did miss the lovely massaging spa chair, though.)
